Conservation efforts include the propagation of some of the Capes most rare protea species such as the Silver Tree (Leucadendron Argenteum) of which our gardens are the proud host of over 100 specimens. We are proud to even have witnessed natural reproduction of these in the garden.
A large waterfall is located immediately beneath our sunset deck and circulates water from our farm dam through a waterway flowing through the heart of the garden. This feature creates a meditative ambiance and attracts wildlife.
A large greenhouse serves to propagate rare plant species and houses our collection of rare succulents in a vast array of Terracotta pots. The greenhouse can be viewed subject to appointment.
The Gardens is a combination of 1) a small botanical garden 2) a nature reserve and 3) a small food farm garden with harvesting activities for guests, workers and local communities.
